New Cars, Drog Stars and More at the Drogheda Motor Show

THE Drogheda Motor Show is a resounding success on Laurence’s Street, the area attracting large crowds of onlookers to discover the new brands on offer.

he show will run until 5 p.m. and the atmosphere is bubbling with two major celebrities already starring attractions. Drogheda United players Mark Doyle and Ahu Obhakhan came to discover the new range of vehicles at one of the club’s sponsors, Blackstone Motors.

The guys stopped by to take fan photos before getting ready for Sunday’s big game with Derry City at Head in the Game Park.

The street is closed to all traffic, creating a real craze for the locals.

There is a plethora of dealers with their lineup on display, including Jack Doran Motors (Kia and Citroën), Blackstone Motors (Renault, Dacia and Opel), Brian Reynolds Car Sales (Mazda and Fiat), Smiths of Drogheda (Ford and Ford Commercial Vehicles), Windsor Peugeot Drogheda (Peugeot), Colm Quinn BMW Drogheda (BMW), Western Motors (Volkswagen and Skoda), John McCabe Nissan (Nissan) and Malones Toyota Drogheda (Toyota).

Performances by Comhaltas, a fashion show by the Sapphir Hair team, a photoshoot with Captain Brand New Drive and the Absurdist Pipe Band also livened things up a notch or two!

Mayor James Byrne also visited early and said it was a great addition to the business calendar.

The show lasts until 5 p.m.
