Los Angeles Auto Show 2021: What to expect
Los Angeles will host its first auto show in two years next week, with new models from Hyundai, Kia, Subaru, Porsche and more.
Like at the Munich Motor Show in September, there was a lot of time between glasses for the Los Angeles Auto Shownearly two years have passed since the last installment of the show, in November 2019.
The 2020 event was postponed (for obvious reasons) from last September to May 2021, before being pushed back to the LA event’s usual late November slot – with the 2021 event scheduled for open to the media on November 17 and 18before opening at general public from November 19 to 28.
The Los Angeles Auto Show has been a favorite among automakers for its new debut, with Mazda unveiling a new model at five of the last six shows, as well as debuts from BMW, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and many more in recent years.

For early birds and die-hards, here are the major automotive press conferences to watch (all dates November 18, Australian time):
- Fisker, 4:15 a.m. AEDT
- Hyundai, 4:55 AEDT
- Subaru, 5:45 AEDT
- Kia, 6:15 a.m. AEDT (but EV9 debut slated for Nov. 11, 7 p.m. AEDT)
- VinFast, 10:30 AEDT
