Glitz, glamour, heels, wheels and more. That’s what customers and attendees can expect at the exhilarating Heels and Wheels event taking place at Durban’s premier entertainment destination Suncoast on 26-27 March. Hosted by radio personality, Jayshree Parasuramen, and supported by an array of artists, businesses, small businesses and exhibitors, the event promises to be a feast for the senses.
“Visitors are guaranteed an unforgettable experience. The automotive industry has always been associated with men – this event is certainly meant to overturn that status quo. Women will be in the spotlight in all areas, driving supercars, learning skills such as how to change a tire (men can also benefit from this), mixing music on the turntables and much more. There is an attraction for every age group,” Parasuramen said.
The two-day event, in the casino parking lot, will be held under the Heels and Wheels banner, with the show-stopping event being the International Auto Sound Challenge Association (IASCA) sound event. This event invites participants to compete, by decibels. Naturally, a sound enthusiast is also a car enthusiast; hence, visitors can expect to feast on classic cars, super cars, and modified cars.
Have you ever wondered how women do in heels? Watch them drive supercars in convoy in these heels! Parasuramen, who spearheaded the “Women Empowering Women” initiative, to uplift women and girls, encouraged families to come on both days, to listen, learn and experience thrills while empowering themselves. “Heels and Wheels recognizes the contribution and growth of women in the automotive industry and wants to inspire more women and girls to break the stigma associated with all things motoring. We thought this would be a great event to close out International Women’s Month,” Parasuramen added. In addition to the car show, show and shine competition, food stalls, comedy and prizes and giveaways, automotive industry experts will be on hand. place to offer advice.Tickets can be purchased via Quicket.
