The automotive event opened on Thursday August 19 at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

British Motor Show CEO Andy Entwistle spoke to HampshireLive on opening day, he said: “It went really well, we had thousands of people come today and I don’t I didn’t expect there to be so many people on the first day.
“It’s the first big event at this venue, it’s the world’s first motor show for 18 months, so I’m incredibly proud that we’ve pulled it off.”
Although the move to Farnborough has been criticized by some people online, Mr Entwistle believes it was the right move for the show.
He said: “As fabulous as the NEC has been, Farnborough is a truly amazing site, it’s a hidden gem in so many ways at the moment. No other site in the UK can offer us this combination of indoor and outdoor and it’s just a perfect location for us
“We’ve signed up here for five years, it’s a five year contract and I’m sure we’ll be here for many years after that. We’re making Farnborough our home for the foreseeable future.”
Although this year’s event has only just begun, the organizers are already looking to the future.
“We struggled with the lockdown and had to postpone it from last year, and that gave me plenty of time to sit down and come up with ideas.
“I had almost too much free time, so we have great things planned for next year. There will be more halls, more cars and more manufacturers.”
The event continues until Sunday and tickets are still available online, all information is here.
HampshireLive photographer Darren Pepe traveled to the event on Friday August 20 and captured some great moments.
